U.S. Department of Labor Announces 2019 Prevailing Wage Seminars

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division (WHD) has announced dates and locations for its free 2019 prevailing wage education seminars.  The WHD Prevailing Wage Seminars are comprehensive, three-day compliance trainings designed for contractors, unions, federal agency staff, and state agency officials. In these seminars, DOL WHD staff will explain the details of practical compliance with the following laws and regulatory requirements:

- The Davis-Bacon Act and McNamara O'Hara Service Contract Act
- Executive Order 13495 "Nondisplacement of Qualified Workers"
- Executive Order 13658 "Establishing a Minimum Wage for Contractors"
- The process of obtaining wage determinations and adding classifications
- Compliance assistance and enforcement processes
- The process for appealing wage rates, coverage, and compliance determinations

Attendance is limited by venue capacity and registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis until capacity is reached.  Locations for which registration is not yet open are subject to change.
