Senate Confirms Marty Walsh to Lead DOL
The Senate voted to confirm Boston Mayor Marty Walsh as the nation’s next Secretary of Labor by a vote of 68-29. SWACCA endorsed Mayor Walsh shortly after President Biden announced his nomination, transmitted a letter of support for his nomination to the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, and worked to secure bipartisan support on Capitol Hill for his confirmation.
