SBA To Host Roundtable on FAR Council Project Labor Agreement Proposed Rule

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced it will hold a roundtable on September 29, 2022 from 1pm to 2pm ET to discuss the Federal Acquisition Regulatory (FAR) Council’s proposed rule implementing President Biden’s February Executive Order requiring federal contractors and their subcontractors to enter into project labor agreements (PLAs) for federal construction projects where the total estimated cost is $35 million or more.

The agenda for the roundtable includes: (1) introductory remarks from SBA staff; (2) a discussion of the impact of the proposed rule on small construction companies; and (3) input from interested small business entities.
