SBA to Hold Roundtable to Discuss Independent Contractor Proposed Rule
The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy announced a virtual roundtable on November 9, 2022 to discuss the Department of Labor’s (DOL) proposed rule on Independent Contractor Status under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The purpose of the roundtable is to gather specific small entity input on the proposed rule. In addition, DOL staff have been invited to provide a briefing on the Independent Contractor proposed rule.
The roundtable will be held on November 9, 2022 from 3PM to 5PM ET. Those interested in participating in the roundtable must RSVP to Janis Reyes at Janis.Reyes@sba.gov. Registration details will be provided upon receipt of an RSVP.
