SWACCA Works with Business Associations to Pass Bill Extending PPP Application Deadline to May 31
Late last night, SWACCA and other allied business groups succeeded in getting the House to pass the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Extension Act (H.R. 1799) by a nearly unanimous vote of 415-3. This important legislation would extend the PPP application deadline from March 31 to May 31, 2021. It would also provide an additional 30 days for the Small Business Administration to finish processing applications timely received by May 31. H.R. 1799 now heads to the Senate, where we are working to expeditiously pass this bill and send it to the President for his signature.
