Office of Apprenticeship Seeking Nominations for Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship
The Department of Labor’s (DOL) Office of Apprenticeship has announced that it is accepting membership nominations for the re-launched Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship (ACA). Committee members will be appointed to one- and two-year terms and will advise the Secretary of Labor on ways to expand and modernize the national apprenticeship system to provide equitable career pathways that advance the dignity of work for everyone. The ACA will consist of a range of 27-30 voting members that represent employers, labor, and the public, including: (1) employers or industry associations; (2) labor or joint labor-management organizations; and (3) state apprenticeship agencies, career and technical education schools, and community based organizations.
Nominations will be accepted from May 4, 2021 through June 3, 2021. DOL has posted instructions on how to apply or nominate someone, which can be found here.
