SWACCA Joins Nearly 200 Organizations and Companies to Urge Congress to Pass COBRA Funding Relief
SWACCA joined nearly 200 organizations and companies including unions, public and private sector employers, nonprofits, and chambers of commerce in sending a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) urging the inclusion of COBRA funding in the next COVID-19 relief package currently being negotiated in the Senate. COBRA funding is one of the priorities SWACCA is lobbying to have included in the coronavirus relief package that is currently being negotiated in Congress.
The letter, signed by 194 stakeholders, urges Schumer and McConnell “to take immediate action to protect the health care of the millions of Americans who have lost their health care coverage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
