SWACCA-Supported Inflation Reduction Act Prompts European Company to Build $500 Million Hydrogen Equipment Factory in Michigan
The SWACCA-supported Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has prompted Nel, Europe’s largest manufacturer of equipment to produce hydrogen, to choose Michigan to build a new, state of the art $500 million factory that will produce equipment needed to extract hydrogen from water. The $500 million factory would be one of the largest gigafactories in the world. The IRA is also prompting other European companies to consider following suit and could lead to the U.S. becoming the global epicenter for hydrogen power manufacturing.
