EEOC Says Supreme Court Ruling on College Affirmative Action Programs Does Not Impact Employer Efforts to Foster Diverse and Inclusive Workforces

In response to today’s Supreme Court decision on college affirmative action programs, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued a statement characterizing the decision as not restricting employer efforts to foster diverse and inclusive workforces. The EEOC asserts that it remains lawful for employers to implement diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility programs that seek to ensure workers of all backgrounds are afforded equal opportunity in the workplace.
