EEOC Announces Schedule of Free Events on Commission Priorities Throughout 2023
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) Denver, CO and Phoenix, AZ Field Offices announced a series of free events throughout 2023 to provide information on several EEOC issues of relevance for employers.
The Denver Field Office announced it will hold free events every second Tuesday of the month from 4pm to 4:45pm each day on the following dates and topics: (1) February 14, 2023 – Eliminating Barriers in Recruiting and Hiring; (2) March 14, 2023 – Protecting Vulnerable Workers; (3) April 11, 2023 – Addressing Selecting Emerging and Developing Issues; (4) May 9, 2023 – Ensuring Equal Pay for All Workers; (5) June 13, 2023 – Preserving Access to the Legal System; (6) July 11, 2023 – Preventing Systemic Harassment; (7) August 8, 2023 – Retaliation; (8) September 12, 2023 – Algorithmic Fairness and Artificial Intelligence; (9) October 10, 2023 – LGBTQ+; and (9) November 14, 2023 – Reaching Underserved Communities. The Phoenix Field Office announced it will hold free events from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on the following dates to discuss several discrimination topics, including: (1) February 9, 2023 – Discrimination Based on Religion/Anti-Semitism; (2) February 23, 2023 – Discrimination of African Americans; (3) March 23, 2023 – Discrimination Based on Equal Pay; (4) April 6, 2023 – Discrimination of Native Americans; (5) April 27, 2023 – Discrimination of Older Workers; (5) May 11, 2023 – Discrimination of People with Disabilities (Mental Health); (6) May 18, 2023 – Discrimination of Asian American/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders; (7) June 1, 2023 – Discrimination of LGBTQ+; (8) June 22, 2023 – Discrimination of Women Breastfeeding; (9) July 13, 2023 – Discrimination of Hispanic Workers; and (10) Discrimination of People with Disabilities (Physical).
