Absolics to Receive $75 Million from SWACCA-Supported CHIPS and Science Act to Build Chip Factory in Georgia

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it has committed $75 million from the SWACCA-supported CHIPS and Science Act to South Korean company Absolics to help build a factory in Covington, Georgia that will make glass parts for computer chips. As part of the announcement, Absolics also said that it will spend more than $300 million on the first phase of the factory, with plans to hire 300 workers.
