The Department of Labor’s (DOL) Wage and Hour Division (WHD) announced updates to the Prevailing Wage Resource Book (PWRB) in light of the recent publication of its SWACCA-supported final rule, “Updating the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts Regulations.”

WHD notes that, in response to the final rule’s publication, the agency conducted a comprehensive review of the PWRB to simplify the language, restructure the format in a more intuitive manner, and provide additional guidance and examples where stakeholders routinely requested clarification. Per the WHD, the updated PWRB discusses the agency’s policies in a way that is more easily accessible to all stakeholders and provides them with a better understanding of the labor standards that apply to many federal and federally funded contracts.
