DOL, IRS, and SBA to Hold Joint Webinar on Coronavirus-Related Paid Sick Leave Requirements
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division announced that it is joining the Internal Revenue Service and the Small Business Administration to hold a webinar on June 12, 2020 to discuss paid sick leave requirements, tax relief, and other coronavirus-related information. The agencies are encouraging employers, business owners, and other stakeholders to join the webinar on a first-come, first-served basis.
Specifically, the webinar will provide information on the employee retention tax credit and employer requirements of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), including paid sick leave and paid childcare leave and will also discuss eligibility and other requirements for providing paid leave and tax credits for participating business owners.
