DOL WHD Requests Data from the Heavy and Highway Construction Industries to Establish Davis-Bacon Statewide Federal Prevailing Wage Rates in Arizona

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Administration (WHD) is asking entities in Arizona to provide data on heavy and highway construction projects for a statewide survey to establish federal prevailing wage rates on federally funded and federally-assisted construction projects in the state.

This statewide survey requests information about wages paid to construction workers on all heavy and highway construction projects in Arizona that occurred between October 1, 2022 and December 29, 2023. The data request is not limited to federally funded construction projects. The WHD began collecting data on September 15, 2023 and will conclude the survey on January 15, 2024. WHD will send letters to interested parties and contractors known to the agency with directions on how to complete the survey. Parties with relevant data who do not receive letters are also encouraged to submit their data to the WHD through the agency’s website here. Questions about the survey process and forms can be submitted to the Davis-Bacon Survey Center at 1-866-236-2773 or Davisbaconinfo@dol.gov.

The WHD also plans to hold briefings on the Arizona statewide federal prevailing wage survey process on September 26, September 28, October 17, and October 19, 2023 from 2pm to 3pm MT each day. Those wishing to participate in the briefings must register here through EventBrite.
