USCIS Extends Employment Authorization for 180 Days for Individuals Who Filed Employment Authorization Renewal Applications
Late last Friday, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that effective October 27, 2023, eligible employment authorization renewal applicants who have filed Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, will receive an automatic 180-day extension of their employment authorization and/or employment authorization documents while their renewal application is pending. This action includes those whose Employment Authorization comes from having applied for or received Temporary Protected Status or asylum.
