OSHA Holds ACCSH Meeting to Discuss Heat Injury and Illness Rulemaking and Infectious Disease Rulemaking
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration held a meeting yesterday of its Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH). During the meeting, the members of the ACCSH discussed OSHA’s rulemakings on infectious disease and heat injury and illness in indoor and outdoor work settings on which SWACCA submitted comments with AWCI in January 2022.
During the portion of the meeting on the infectious disease rule, ACCSH members discussed how the infectious disease rule will specifically apply to construction in certain regards—especially construction and maintenance services performed at healthcare-related facilities.
