DOL Solicitor’s Office Releases Fiscal Year 2022 Enforcement Report
The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Solicitor’s Office released its fiscal year 2022 Enforcement Report, which details its progress on six priorities, including “reducing worker misclassification.” The report notes that misclassification of employees “deprives workers of core protections on the job” and gives a “competitive advantage to employers who violate the law, creating an uneven playing field that disadvantages law-abiding employers.”
