DOL’s Women’s Bureau to Hold Two March Webinars Focused on Women in the Construction Industry
The Department of Labor’s (DOL) Women’s Bureau announced two construction webinars in March.
The first webinar entitled, “Safety at Work: Addressing Gender Based Violence and Harassment in the Construction Industry” will be conducted in conjunction with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on March 5th from 2-5PM ET. The webinar will focus on the importance of addressing gender-based violence and harassment in the construction industry and how it impacts worker health and safety. The second webinar entitled, “Constructing Equity: Empowering Women in Construction” will be held on March 6th from 12-1:30pm ET. The webinar will include representatives of several DOL agencies who will share information about resources, career pathways and federal protections available to women in nontraditional occupations.
