DOL EBSA Announces Health Benefits Laws Compliance Seminars in August and September
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) announced three upcoming health benefits laws compliance seminars in August and September 2023 in Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada. The seminars are partnerships between DOL and state insurance agencies to provide practical information, helpful tips, and important clarifications regarding state and federal health benefits laws. Topics to be covered include COBRA continuation coverage, the FMLA, and recent changes to federal law. The seminars are free, however interested individuals must pre-register on a first come, first served basis.
The seminars will be held as follows: (1) on August 23, 2023 from 8:30am to 4:45pm MT and August 24, 2023 from 8:30am to 12:15pm MT at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix-Tempe, 4400 South Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85282 (register here by August 21, 2023); (2) on August 29, 2023 from 8:30am to 4:45pm MT and August 30, 2023 from 8:30am to 12:15pm MT at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel, 360 Union Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80228 (register here by August 25, 2023); and (3) on September 19, 2023 from 8:30am to 4:45pm PT and September 20, 2023 from 8:30am to 12:15pm PT at The Blind Center of Nevada, 1001 N Bruce Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101 (register here by September 15, 2023).
