OSHA Issues Reminder That 2021 Injury and Illness Data is Due March 2
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued a notice to remind employers that electronic submission of 2021 injury and illness data from OSHA Form 300A is due by March 2 if an employer has: (1) 250 or more employees and is currently required to keep OSHA injury and illness records; or (2) has 20-249 employees classified in specific industries, including construction, with historically high rates of occupational injuries and illnesses. The list of “specific industries” under the 20-249 employee threshold can be found here. OSHA further notes that when employers are submitting Form 300A, they must also be sure to provide their Employer Identification Number.
More information on the reporting requirements and instructions on how to submit data online is available via OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application website here.
