WHD Launches “Essential Workers, Essential Protections” Initiative to Help Employers, Workers Better Understand Federal Wage and Hour Laws
The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division has launched the “Essential Workers, Essential Protections” initiative to ensure workers know about the wage and hour laws that protect them and how to contact WHD in the event that they need assistance.
In support of the initiative, WHD has released additional materials and information including: (1) Frequently Asked Questions addressing pandemic-related scenarios for employers, workers, and advocates; (2) National Webinar Schedules for upcoming WHD webinars; (3) Blog Articles that further explain this new WHD initiative; and (4) A WHD Workers’ Rights Webpage to better share information about essential protections.
