DOL Office of Apprenticeship Issues Circular Regarding Process for Apprenticeship to Journeyworker Ratio Revisions
The Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) Office of Apprenticeship (OA) has issued Circular 2021-02. The OA notes that the circular is intended to inform Registered Apprenticeship Program sponsors and State Apprenticeship Agencies about OA’s policy and process for reviewing requests from program sponsors in federally-administered states to establish or revise their ratio of apprentices to journeyworkers. Specifically, the circular is intended to articulate the methodology for OA’s process to consider ratio requests in federally-administered states.
